Developed in 1985 for direct sales to the Hong Kong Nantian Trading Company, the wrapper was stamped in purple with the Chinese word for “Sky” (Tian 天)。 This is the famous “Tian Cake” or “Purple Tian” that Pu’er hobbyists speak of .
